Moondough...

For Christmas 2 years ago, I got The Sweetness 2 things of Moon dough. It was one of her "Must Have" gifts. After playing with the Barnyard set I was really really REALLY not interested in getting out the Pizza set. I snuck into a closet- out of sight out of mind. A few times a year she would stumble upon it and beg to play with it...Nah, let's play with something else.

Anyways, today I really wanted The Sweetness to sit still while a did a new hairstyle. I told her she could play with the moon dough if she sat nicely while I did it.

 She had a great time! We made tons of little pizza's and had a wonderful "lunch" together. It made a decent mess, but she helped clean.

We packed everything up in a ziploc bag...and I snuck it back into a new hiding spot. Maybe we will get it out in another 2 years.

Tuna and Tomatos

Now...I am a bit picky, but there is one thing that just really grosses me out. TUNA FISH! Yuck yuck yuck! I avoided it my entire life because I just knew what it was going to taste like. Finally about 8 months ago I was just starving at work. They were serving some Tuna Noodle Casserole stuff. My stomach was literally eating itself! Everyone else, including the children, were happily eating it. So...I went for it. IT TASTED EXACTLY LIKE I THOUGHT I WOULD ALL THESE YEARS! Gross...

Anyways, The Sweetness and The One just love that stuff. I am cringing just thinking about it. I won't even let it come in the house! All that tuna breath...uhh. No Thanks.

We all went to Subway a few nights ago and The Sweetness orders a Tuna Sub...with a tomato on it! How in the world is this my child!??!

She then proceeded to chase me down and try to kiss me with her tuna breath...

It all begins...

June 16th, 2012....easily the best, most sweet day of my life. The Sweetness, The One, and I were sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Mesa LDS Temple. I had the strongest feeling that this was the most significant thing I had ever done in my life. It was so simple but so powerful. I get the chills just thinking about it! The Sweetness was so reverent and good during the sealing. I think it all felt familiar to her and that she felt The Spirit. As a gift, we received a beautiful picture of the Temple, It says, "Today is part of eternity" on it. I love to look at it and think of our most special day and remember that RIGHT NOW is eternity. 

(I'm not really that much taller! I was standing on the upward slope of a hill!) 

Although not everyone was able to come into the Temple, they still came to support us! It was so great to have our families there!

 After the Temple we went to Our Uncle's for the reception! He did such an amazing job planning the reception and getting everything ready!

Yep... the best day ever!

1st Grade

The Sweetness started the 1st grade today...sniff sniff. Kindergarten is one thing...but first grade?! Come on! That's just crazy. She is defiantly growing up fast.

Shoveling Poop

A lady that The One works with asked if we could come over and visit with her and the horses...and help clean up all the horse poop! So we strapped on our old shoes and got to work! The Sweetness insisted on helping for a good 15min...which is really good for her! 

We also got to pet and feed the horses. The Sweetness was pretty nervous, but finally worked up the courage to do it. She also enjoyed spending time with the owner and learning tons of new things about horses! Can't wait to help again!!

Ballerina

Marissa had her first dance recital. She did a ballet dance to "Let's go fly a kite" and a jazz dance to "Celebrate". I thought she did great! She didn't look nervous at all (despite looking terrified in this picture) and you could tell she was having a great time! That girl can shake it!!

ENGAGED!

The One and I are officially engaged! He proposed to my on a roller coaster :) I absolutely love my ring and I cannot wait to plan our wedding. On June 16th I will be sealed to him and The Sweetness for Time and All Eternity <3

Report Card

The Sweetness is doing so great in Kindergarten! She is meeting the State Standards in almost every area- which is awesome for only her 2nd quarter in Kinder! 


The only thing she got a check mark on was "Resolves own conflicts" and "Verbalizes feelings rather than acting out". I told The Sweetness that and she asked what it meant. I told her it pretty much means you need to stop whining and crying (we are having the same problem at home) and she said, "Ohh...yea...I do that a lot at school" Sigh... any advice for the whining and crying?

Not saying the Sweetness is a genius but...

I just want to dance every day!

The Sweetness had her first dance class today! She loved it! She was supposed to go to Ballet and Jazz this morning, but we waited until the last minute to get her dance shoes and the store was closed! So we had to go this morning and ballet was at the same time as when the store opened. But next week we will make it to both! 

She was so excited to go this morning! She flung open the door to the house when we left and I asked her why she did it so hard and she said, "What do you think?!? I'M JUST SOOO EXCITED TO DANCE"! Who could get mad with an answer like that?

I waited in the lobby today, just in case she got shy or freaked out or something (yea...right) and her teacher brought them out to get a drink of water and Oh My Heck...she was walking around like she was hot stuff! I could just tell that she thought she was so cool...not that I could blame her- she does take after her mother :)

After class when we were driving in the car she said, "I just want to dance everyday! I want dance class everyday!" She was annoyed when I told her only on Saturday and that she still had to go to normal school...pretty sure I saw an eye roll in my rear view mirror!

Just hoping The Sweetness is more coordinated than me...
